Copying customer reviews from Tripadvisor or Google would be someone else’s words on our page, and it would look like we had collected them. We have not. Tripadvisor’s Jel’s Cafe page is the place for that thread. Google Maps is the other. Town Directory does not host reviews either; it points outwards, which is the right habit.

Scores move. A 4.6 from 111 reviews is a snapshot. So is a one-star rant from a single morning. Neither belongs in our voice. If you want the range, open those sites and read more than the first two cards.

What this site will say

Address, listed hours, phone, FSA rating, and that the cafe has Instagram and Facebook. That is enough for a useful independent page without pretending we ate there yesterday or that we own the testimonials.

The hygiene rating (3, July 2025) is on the hygiene page. It is a council inspection, not a star rating, and it is not a substitute for reading recent visits on Maps.
